The Broel Museum in Kortrijk was in need of a multidisciplinary communications partner for a unique collaborative project with the Národní Gallery in Prague. The joint exhibition showcases more than 40 paintings and sketches by the renowned 17th century Flemish painter, Roelandt Savery (Kortrijk 1576-Utrecht 1639). Several of these works have only recently been rediscovered and are to be exhibited for the first time in Kortrijk.
Undercast worked together with the design collaborative ‘Oeyen & Winters’ in order to ensure an online experience to match the importance and scope of this landmark exhibition. The project, however, went well beyond the mere design of an exhibition website. Considerable attention was also paid to the technical side of things – including, for instance, a comprehensive content management system – ensuring the efficient and phased integration of all content. Undercast even provided training for the exhibition partners in Prague, so they could update the website with their own content independently. An effective parallel social media campaign extended the project’s reach even further.
